Yandex jadi nama perusahaan global terakhir yang ikut berinvestasi di Indonesia. Tak sembarangan, pemerintah menegaskan semua yang ingin berinvestasi perlu ikut aturan di dalam negeri.
Hal ini diungkapkan Wakil Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital Nezar Patria soal Yandex yang berisi banyak konten negatif. “Kita sudah sampaikan bahwa kalau siapapun yang mau berinvestasi di Indonesia harus comply dengan aturan di sini,” jelas dia ditemui di Jakarta, Senin (11/11/2024).
Komitmen investasi Yandex diungkapkan perusahaan yang diwakili kepala divisi pencarian internasional, Alexander Popovskiy saat bertemu dengan Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital (Komdigi) Meutya Hafid pekan lalu.
Nezar mengatakan investasi itu sebagai lanjutan hubungan internasional Indonesia dan Rusia. Selain itu juga banyak perusahaan dari negara lain yang juga ingin menanamkan investasinya di tanah air.
Pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia dinilai menarik bagi perusahaan global tersebut hingga mereka ingin berinvestasi di sini. Termasuk masa depan yang cukup menjanjikan di dalam negeri.
“Ini follow up hubungan internasional kita dengan Rusia, dengan China, Amerika, negara Eropa, banyak sekali yang berdatangan. Juga menunjukkan keinginan mereka melihat pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia,” kata Nezar.
Namun Yandex, dia mengatakan belum menyebutkan jumlah pasti investasi. Nezar hanya menambahkan raksasa mesin pencarian itu tertarik melakukan beberapa hal di Indonesia.
“Belum disebutkan jumlahnya (investasi di Indonesia), tetapi tertarik pembangunan infrastruktur, seperti data center, mereka juga tertarik bekerja sama pengembangan kecerdasan artifisiail dan mereka juga tertarik berkolaborasi membina talenta digital,” ungkapnya.
Selain Yandex, Microsoft sudah lebih dulu mengumumkan komitmen investasinya. Saat lawatan April lalu, CEO Satya Nadella mengungkapkan perusahannya menggelontorkan dana senilai US$1,7 miliar di Indonesia.
Selain itu, Nvidia diketahui bekerja sama dengan Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. Keduanya berencana membangun pusat AI di kota Solo.
