Rupiah terdepresiasi terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat (AS) bersamaan dengan data indeks dolar AS dan imbal hasil US Treasury tenor 10 tahun yang melonjak tinggi.
Dilansir dari Refinitiv, rupiah dibuka melemah 0,09% di angka Rp15.570/US$ pada hari ini, Rabu (23/10/2024). Sementara selang empat menit setelah perdagangan dibuka, rupiah kembali tersungkur 0,39% ke angka Rp15.610/US$.
Sementara DXY pada pukul 09:03 WIB naik 0,09% di angka 104,17. Angka ini lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan posisi kemarin (22/10/2024) yang berada di angka 104,07.
Tekanan terhadap rupiah masih tampak akan terjadi disepanjang hari ini bersamaan dengan Indeks dolar AS tercatat bertengger di level psikologis 104, sementara imbal hasil Treasury AS 10 tahun mampu menyentuh level 4,2%.
Lonjakan indeks dolar dan imbal hasil US Treasury ini bisa berdampak negatif ke rupiah. Tingginya imbal hasil US Treasury bisa menarik kembali dana asing yang ada di Indonesia kembali ke pasar AS. Kenaikan indeks dolar AS juga mencerminkan jika dolar AS tengah diburu sehingga mata uang lain melemah.
Akibatnya aliran dana asing akan berpotensi beralih kembali masuk ke AS karena imbal hasil yang meningkat cukup menggiurkan bagi para investor.
Data terbaru yang dirilis periode 14-17 Oktober 2024 oleh Bank Indonesia (BI) menunjukkan bahwa sebesar Rp1,09 triliun investor asing keluar dari pasar keuangan domestik. Sebagian besar arus keluar dari Sertifikat Rupiah Bank Indonesia (SRBI) sebesar Rp5,31 triliun.
