Humas Balai Taman Nasional Way Kambas (TNWK) Sukatmoko mengatakan bahwa seekor anak gajah berumur 6,5 tahun yang ditemukan mati diduga karena sakit.
“Ya, benar ada satu ekor anak gajah jinak bernama Rubado ditemukan mati pada Minggu (1/12),” kata Sukatmoko dihubungi dari Bandaralampung, Selasa.
Dia mengatakan bahwa gajah jinak berjenis kelamin jantan tersebut ditemukan mati di lokasi Savana wilayah Resort Kuala Penet, Seksi Wilayah III.
Dia menyampaikan bahwa berdasarkan informasi dan laporan yang didapat, gajah bernama Rubado dan ibunya Meli digembalakan di Savana pada pagi hari namun sore ditemukan mati.
“Jadi ketika kedua gajah tersebut akan diambil. Anak gajah tersebut sudah mati,” kata dia.
Dia mengatakan bahwa saat ini pihaknya sedang mencari tau penyakit yang diderita oleh anak gajah tersebut dengan mengirimkan sampel ke laboratorium.
“Untuk jenis penyakitnya apa, kami masih menunggu hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium yang akan keluar sekitar 2 minggu,” katanya. https://blog-posmetromanto.online
